The SAP Innovation Center Network (ICN) recently marked the grand opening of their residency at the Cove @ UCI Applied Innovation with an event and some networking and brainstorming sessions.
“SAP’s Innovation Center Network is building a relationship with UCI Applied Innovation and the Cove because of its strong ties to the local startup community and business and academic ecosystem,” said Daniel Lou, head of Engineering for the ICN in Southern California. “For instance, through our connection to the Cove, we have already kicked off several activities at the intersection of health and technology.”
To access the Orange County business community, the ICN utilizes Applied Innovation’s incubator resources, relationships with local business leaders and UCI, including, Experts-in-Residence and entrepreneurs. The partnership began in early 2018 and aims to build a network among Orange County’s entrepreneurial community.
The ICN also announced that it is currently working on a new concept office space that will be collocated with Hanahaus in Newport Beach. Much like its sister-site in Silicon Valley, the Newport Beach Hanahaus will be an open workspace for unexpected collaboration. The combined Innovation Center Network/HanaHaus site is planned to open late 2018.
SAP is one of the largest cloud software and technology companies. The SAP Innovation Center Network has 11 locations worldwide, including the latest location in Newport Beach. HanaHaus was first established in Palo Alto in 2015.
