“I’m so grateful that the Irvine Chamber would co-sponsor this event with other professional organizations to bring together so many of these companies in Irvine,” said Anthony Kuo, mayor pro tem of Irvine. “For the talent that we have at UC Irvine and in our own community, we want to be able to deliver a workforce that understands the challenges of the future of biomedical technology.”

Co-hosted by UCI Beall Applied Innovation and the Small Business Development Center @ UCI Beall Applied Innovation and sponsored by the Greater Irvine Chamber, the annual event connected life science industries to professionals who are looking for career growth.

“This may have been one of the biggest mixers yet in Irvine for medtech – the turnout was impressive,” said Kate Klimow, Applied Innovation chief administrative officer, director of external relations. “This is a key industry sector for Orange County and these types of events promote collaboration throughout the life science ecosystem.”

The event also provided thought-provoking conversation while also encouraging collaboration among the plethora of medtech professionals, organizations and local resources within the Orange County ecosystem.

“Through this event and others, we can leverage each other’s resources and knowledge and partnerships to really pave the way for an incredibly bright future in biomedical technology,” said Kuo.
