About the speakers: Dennis Wood has spent his career identifying top talent and building winning organizations. With 10 years of experience in venture capital helping companies address key HR issues, Dennis brings a rare breadth of insight from over 100 different companies. Additionally, his roles as CEO of Chargeback.com, to head of people, talent and culture at Fusion-io (acquired by SanDisk), and VP of People at MaritzCX, have helped him deeply understand the critical recruiting and HR issues that growth-stage companies face.

Kathleen Prior-Louis leads recruitment at SteelHouse, an innovative AdTech firm that provides marketers complete transparency and control over their campaigns at over 700 companies like Virgin America, TUMI, and Staples. In addition to talent acquisition, Kathleen nurtures company culture and builds the employment brand at SteelHouse. She brings expertise from the intersection of media and tech industries, from high-growth start-ups such as Hulu to larger global brands like Experian Marketing Services where she has honed the process of integrating corporate brand as a tool of HR.

UCI Applied Innovation & SBDC @ UCI Applied Innovation host a Lunch & Learn series at the Cove where subject matter experts present on a particular topic within or relevant to innovation and entrepreneurship. Topics range in breadth from branding and marketing to pitching mistakes to avoid, investor relations, prototyping, and more.
